Hood College

Kevin Ciocco of the men’s track and field team and Skylar Wright of the women’s tennis team are the Hood College Athletes of the Week for March 22, 2021.

Ciocco won the hammer throw, adding four meters to the school record, and set another new record in the shot put at the Falcon First Chance Hexagonal at Messiah University. The senior broke his own school record in the shot put, becoming the first Blazer to surpass 40 feet in the event. Ciocco was fourth overall with a throw of 12.57 meters (41-3). 

Wright was victorious in straight sets at No. 2 singles, defeating Kashmiri 6-2, 6-2. She teamed up with Megan Carter and won the doubles 8-6.
