Hood College

Mason Wang of men’s basketball and Mia Savoy of women’s basketball have been named Hood College’s Athletes of the Week for November 19, 2018.

The Hood College men's basketball team held off a second half rally by St. Mary's (Md.) before pulling away for a 94-82 win in the championship game of the Battle of DC & Maryland at Gallaudet University. Wang scored 18 points to go along with five rebounds, six assist and three steals on his way to MVP honors.

The women’s basketball team competed in the Neumann Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend where Savoy who was who was the Blazers' representative on the all-tournament team. She  added 15 points, three 3-pointers, seven boards and two blocks in the consolation game against Rutgers-Camden.
