Alain Shekanino of men’s soccer and Lydia Erickson of women’s soccer have been named Hood College’s Athletes of the Week for October 29, 2018.

The men's soccer team knocked off No. 24 Lycoming in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth match for the first win over a nationally ranked opponent in program history. Alain Shekanino scored the game-winner in the 53rd minute.

The women's soccer team defeated the visiting Lycoming Warriors 3-1 to close out the 2018 season. recorded a pair of wins and allowed just one goal in 167 minutes of action. Erickson made two saves on 10 shots faced to earn the first back-to-back conference wins since joining the MAC Commonwealth in 2012.
