Brandon Feuerherd of men’s soccer and Payton Belella of women’s volleyball have been named Hood College’s Athletes of the Week for October 8, 2018.

Men's soccer team posted a clean sheet in a 2-0 Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth victory over Widener. Ricky Salgado played a ball to Feuerherd at the top of the box, who banked it off the post at the end of the 13th minute.

Hood College served up 31 aces, the most for the Blazers since 2008, in a 3-0 win over visiting Trinity Washington. Belella had 11 aces, two short of the school record. The senior added 15 assists.
