FROSTBURG, Md.--The Hood College women's swim team won its
second straight meet, 95-55, over Frostburg State University
Wednesday in nonconference action.
The Blazers won a total of seven events and evened their overall
record at 3-3 on the season.
Senior Amy Kaufman won the 800 free (11:07.85) and the 400 free
(4:56.49) and took second in the 200 fly (2:41.04). Senior Katie
Hitchens won the 50 free (29.40) and the 100 free (1:06.18).
Sophomore Erica Hamor took first in the 200 free (2:24.53).
Freshman Kim Wolfgang captured the 200 IM (2:45.43) and the 200
back (2:41.23). Junior Ashley Garyn finished second in the 50 free
(31.70) and the 100 free (1:08.21).
Freshman Melissa Masino was second in the 800 free (12:40.41)
and third in the 400 free (6:01.49). Sophomore Katie Reichard
placed third in the 200 free (3:09.30) and the 200 back (3:10.19).
Freshman Meaghan Verleysen was third in the 200 IM (3:23.63).
The Blazers look to make it three in a row Saturday hosting St.
Mary's College (Md.) at 2 p.m. at the Hood Aquatics Center.
