ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--The Hood College men's swim team (0-2)
fell to the Catholic University Cardinals (36-158) and the St.
Mary's College (Md.) Seahawks (39-142) Saturday in a double dual at
St. Mary's.
Chris Nemecek won the 100 fly for the second time this season
(55.84) and took third in the 200 free (1:54.46).
Sprinter Matt Haynes placed third in the 50 free (23.36) and the
100 free (51.90).
Chris Moreland came in third in the 200 IM (2:13.75) and fifth
in the 100 breast (1:09.89).
Kyle Atras finished seventh in the 200 IM (3:03.36).
In the 50 free, AJ Smith touched the wall in 30.04 and placed
eighth and Thomas Williams was ninth in 37.68. Smith was also
eighth in the 100 free in 1:12.36 while Williams placed eighth in
the 100 breast (1:39.08).
Hood journeys to Capital Athletic Conference foe Marymount
University Saturday for a dual meet at 2 p.m.
