ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--The Hood College women's swim team (1-3,
0-2 CAC) suffered a pair of setbacks at a double-dual with Catholic
University (41-149) and St. Mary's College (Md.) (28-170) Saturday
afternoon.
Melissa Masino posted two season-best times and finished sixth
in the 1000 free (14:09.34) and seventh in the 500 free (6:53.51).
Erica Hamor also lowered her best times of the season and placed
fourth in both the 200 free (2:12.70) and the 100 free (1:00.22).
Ashley Garyn took sixth in the 200 free (2:15.98) and seventh in
the 100 breast (1:27.10).
Michelle Leggieri came in sixth in 50 free (27.84) and fifth in
the 100 breast (1:19.37), posting Hood's fastest time of the season
in that event.
Kristen Kucharski was eighth in the 50 free (29.26) sixth in the
100 fly (1:15.92).
Kim Wolfgang touched the wall sixth in the 200 IM (2:33.13) and
fourth in the 100 back (1:07.60).
Hood next travels to Marymount University Saturday for a Capital
Athletic Conference dual meet at 2 p.m.
