WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Hood College men's swim team (0-7, 0-5
CAC) won five individual events in a 108-89 Capital Athletic
Conference loss to Gallaudet University Sunday afternoon.
Chris Moreland paced the field in both the 1000 free (11:47.39)
and the 100 fly (1:00.48) and was second in the 200 free (1:57.58).
Andrew Bodine was a double winner in the 100 back (1:05.95) and
100 breast (1:09.30) and swam a seasonal best in the 200 IM in
2:13.88 to finish second.
Matthew Benoit won the 50 free (24.30) and placed second in the
100 free (55.83) and third in the 500 free (6:12.20).
Thomas Williams came in fifth in the 100 free (1:12.75) and
fourth in the 100 breast (1:22.75).
Kyle Atras took fourth in the 1000 free (14:18.93) and fifth in
the 200 IM (3:04.53).
Ethan Weidman placed fourth in the 200 free (2:07.96) and second
in both the 100 fly (1:10.58) and the 500 free (6:11.26).
Lucas Netter came in fifth in the 200 free (2:41.80) and fourth
in the 100 back (1:28.56).
Carlin Rabie finished fourth in the 50 free (25.09) and second
in the 100 back (1:10.68).
The 200 medley relay of Rabie, Williams, Atras and Netter took
second in 2:11.03.
Hood next journeys to Penn State Altoona Saturday for a 1 p.m.
nonconference meet.
