FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's tennis team (4-8, 2-4
CAC) dropped a narrow 5-4 Capital Athletic Conference decision to
Stevenson University (3-8, 1-4 CAC) Saturday morning on Senior Day
at Baker Park.
Carter Reitman and Mike Hardman improved to 8-2 at first doubles
with an 8-4 win over Ted Cooke and Kevin Stamm. Hardman captured
his team-leading ninth singles win with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over
Stamm at No. 2. David Blowe and Andrew Blowe were Hood's other
singles winners at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. David Blowe
toppled Dan Putasky, 6-3, 6-3, while Andrew Blowe rolled over Shawn
Kelley, 6-0, 6-4.
Hood's final regular season match is slated for Monday against
Shenandoah at 3 p.m. at Baker Park.
