FREDERICK, Md.--The top three singles players on the Hood
College men's tennis team (4-9) all won their matches in straight
sets, but it was not enough as the Blazers fell to the visiting
Shenandoah University Hornets (3-11), 6-3, Monday afternoon in
nonconference action.
Reitman bested Michael Milanov at first singles, 7-5, 6-3, while
Mike Hardman cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Julian Fehr at No. 2.
David Blowe rounded out the Blazer winners on the day with a 6-4,
6-1 triumph at No. 3.
The Blazers have five days off to prepare for the Capital
Athletic Conference playoffs, which begin Sunday.
