YORK, Pa.--The Hood College men's swim team (0-5, 0-4 CAC)
traveled to York College (Pa.) Friday evening for a Capital
Athletic Conference double dual with the Spartans and University of
Mary Washington Eagles.
The 200 medley relay squad of Alex Bodine, Andrew Bodine, Connor
Eliff and Jon Collier came close to rewriting the school record,
finishing 0.16 seconds behind the program standard in 1:44.51, good
for third.
Alex Bodine had the top individual finish of the day, taking
second in the 200 back in 2:07.50. Andrew Bodine finished third in
the 100 back (58.77) and the 50 free (23.01) while Collier came in
fourth in the 100 free (54.01). Jacob Wolfe was also fourth in the
500 free (5:40.72) and Eliff touched the wall fourth in the 200 fly
(2:24.29).
The Spartans and Eagles both defeated the Blazers by identical
margins, 98-24.
Hood returns to the pool Saturday hosting its first home meet of
the season against the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen at 2
p.m.
