YORK, Pa.--The Hood College women's swim team (0-5, 0-4 CAC)
participated in its second Capital Athletic Conference double dual
of the season Friday evening, this time with York College (Pa.) and
the University of Mary Washington.
The 200 medley relay team of Theresa Schwarzwalder, Arielle
Harding, Daniela Mittelkamp and Hayley Rogers captured third place
in 2:01.16. Schwarzwalder was touched out in the 100 back and took
second by 0.04 seconds in 1:06.04. Rogers also narrowly missed
claiming top honors in the 50 free by 0.02 seconds, clocking in at
26.11.
Harding finished fourth in the 200 free (2:08.11) while Andrea
Haines was fifth in the 100 breast (1:23.14). Mittelkamp came in
fifth in three events, the 100 fly (1:14.32), the 200 fly (2:59.30)
and the 1000 free (13:23.81).
Hood lost to the Spartans, 104-18, and the Eagles, 100-22.
The Blazers entertain their first home meet of the season
Saturday against Lebanon Valley College at 2 p.m. at the Huntsinger
Aquatics Center.
