FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's swim team (1-5) won nine
individual events and one relay Saturday in a convincing 132-61
nonconference victory over visiting Lebanon Valley College (0-3) at
the Huntsinger Aquatics Center.
Jacob Wolfe and Chris Patschak started things off by going 1-2
in the 1000 free. Andrew Bodine and Jon Collier were both winners
in the 200 free and 50 free, respectively. Three Blazers swam
uncontested in the 200 IM, claiming 16 more points for Hood.
Andrew Bodine and Lucas Netter cruised to the top two spots in
the 100 fly, while Connor Eliff bested the field in the 100 free by
more than three seconds. Alex Bodine then took top honors in the
100 back in 57.45. Netter, Collier and Drake Halpern collected 16
more points for the Blazers with a 1-2-3 finish in the 500 free.
Eliff rounded out the individual event slate with a season-best
1:10.53 in the 100 breast.
Alex Bodine, Eliff, Collier and Andrew Bodine were winners in
the 200 free relay in 1:35.83.
Hood is idle next week but returns to action Nov. 18-19 at the
Randolph-Macon Invitational.
