Kline Registers No. 5 Singles Victory in Setback to Bobcats

FROSTBURG, Md.--Travis Kline of the Hood College men's tennis team (1-11, 1-4 CAC) recorded a straight set triumph at fifth singles in an 8-1 Capital Athletic Conference loss to Frostburg State University (5-6, 3-3 CAC) Sunday afternoon.

Kline bested Eddie McMurtie, 6-2, 6-4, to capture Hood's lone point of the match. Mike Hardman lost a hard-fought singles match at the No. 1 spot to Mike Stevenson, 6-3, 4-6, 2-6.

The Blazers have two nonconference matches remaining on their spring slate, beginning with a home match against Harford Community College Tuesday at the Baker Park Tennis Courts. The Blazers will also host St. Mary's College (Md.) this week in a CAC matchup to be determined.
