RADNOR, Pa.--The Hood College men's swim team (3-0) bested teams
from Cabrini College (74-21) and Pitt-Bradford (50-45) Saturday
afternoon in a nonconference double dual at Cabrini.
Hood won four events on the day and Alex Bodine had a hand in
three of them. He swam the leadoff leg of the victorious 200 medley
relay (1:42.55) with older brother Andrew, Michael Curry and Jon
Collier. Bodine also won two individual events, the 50 free (23.25)
and the 100 back (57.09). Curry had the Blazers' fourth win in the
200 free (1:53.01).
Daniel Lee (11:35.33) and Lucas Netter (11:35.37) finished
second and third, respectively, in the 1000 free and were separated
by a scant 0.04 seconds.
Collier was the runner-up in the 50 free to teammate Alex Bodine
with a time of 23.36.
Andrew Bodine was second in the 200 IM (2:08.60) and the 100
free (52.29) and Curry took second in the 500 free by 0.94 seconds
to Pitt-Bradford's Matt Patterson.
Hood journeys to Middle Atlantic Conferences opponent Lycoming
College for its next meet Saturday at 2 p.m.
