Reitman Becomes Career Singles Wins Leader at Hood in CAC Match With York (Pa.)

FREDERICK, Md.--Senior Carter Reitman of the Hood College men's tennis team (2-11, 1-5 CAC) won his 31st collegiate singles match Saturday against the York College (Pa.) Spartans, and in doing so became the program's career singles wins leader.

Reitman defeated YCP's Tyler Cheatham, 6-3, 6-3, for his eighth win of the season at No. 1 for Hood's lone points of the match as the Blazers fell to the Spartans, 8-1.

Reitman eclipsed the previous career wins mark of 30 set last season by former teammate and current assists coach Mike Hardman '11.

The Spartans (8-7, 3-3 CAC) registered straight-set victories in the other four of the other five singles matches and Hood's Travis Kline was unable to complete his match after retiring in the first set.

The Blazers' final match of the regular season is slated for Tuesday at CAC foe Frostburg State University at 4 p.m.
