FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's swim team (8-4) won nine
individual events and set a school record in the 200 free relay en
route to defeating the visiting Frostburg State University Bobcats,
120-59, Saturday at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center.
The Blazers christened their newly-renovated aquatic facility in
grand fashion with dominant swims in virtually every event. The 200
free relay team of Alex Bodine, Michael Curry, Jon Collier and
Andrew Bodine closed the meet with a record-setting swim in
1:31.09, breaking the previous record of 1:32.22 from Jan. 21, 2012

Andrew Bodine and Jon Collier were both double winners, Bodine
in the 50 and 500 free and Collier in the 200 IM and 100 free.
Curry won the 1000 free, Connor Eliff captured the 200 free, Alex
Bodine touched out FSU's Caleb Stair in the 200 fly and Daniel Lee
won the 200 back. Lucas Netter had a nice swim in the 500, lowering
his season-best by more than seven seconds, and shaved nearly three
seconds off his 200 free time. Drake Halpern had season-bests in
both the 50 and 100 free.
The Blazers' next meet is slated for Saturday, Jan. 26 at Penn
State-Altoona and is set to begin at 1 p.m.
