FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's swim team (9-4) won all
11 events en route to a decisive 135-56 triumph over the Frostburg
State University Bobcats Saturday at the Huntsinger Aquatics
Center.
The Blazers christened their newly-renovated aquatic facility in
grand fashion with dominant swims in every event. Caitlin Fay and
Lindsay Cronin were both double winners, Fay in the 200 back and 50
free and Cronin in the 200 free and 500 free. Brittany Whitham won
the 1000 free, Theresa Schwarzwalder captured the 200 IM, Katie
Rogers touched the wall first in the 200 fly, Shannon McHale won
the 100 free and Lauren Fogarty set the pace in the 200 breast.
McHale, Fogarty, Rogers and Fay outpaced the Bobcat squad in the
200 medley relay to start the meet while Whitham, Schwarzwalder,
Meg Blodgett and McHale defeated the Bobcats in the 200 free relay
to close things out.
The Blazers' next meet is slated for Saturday, Jan. 26 at Penn
State-Altoona and is set to begin at 1 p.m.
