WINCHESTER, Va.--The Hood College men's tennis team (0-5) dropped a 9-0 nonconference decision to the Shenandoah University Hornets (1-1) Saturday afternoon in the Blazers' first match of the spring season.
The Hornets swept the top four singles matches in straight sets and won first and second doubles to capture the match. Hood's Philip Roedig won two games in the second set of his singles match at No. 3, while Raymond Rivera won one game in each set at No. 4. Hood forfeited fifth and sixth singles and third doubles.
The Blazers will be idle until March 25 when they host Wesley College at 4 p.m.
