FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's tennis team (0-13) fell to the visiting Harford Community College Fighting Owls (9-5) by a margin of 9-0 Thursday afternoon in nonconference action.
Philip Roedig dropped a close match at No. 3 to Brandon Wolf, 6-3, 6-2, while Raymond Rivera rallied in the second set to win four games against Scott Hale at No. 4. Chad Love won two games in the second set opposite HCC's No. 1 Tyler Cook and Roedig and Rivera took two games from Hale and Alex Embers at second doubles.
Hood's final match of the season is slated for Saturday versus Commonwealth Conference opponent Lycoming College at 1 p.m. at the Hood Tennis Courts.
