FREDERICK, Md. -- The Hood College men's tennis team opens its season with a home match against York College (Pa.) on September 18 at 3:30 p.m.

SCOUTING HOOD
This is the season opener for the Blazers, who are coming off a 4-10 record last year, and a 1-5 Commonwealth Conference record. Sophomore Alex Sexton (Mesa, Az./ Mesa) is returning with a 8-7 record last year. Senior Richard Hershey (Boonsboro, Md./ Boonsboro) returns for his final season with a 2-3 record from last year.

SCOUTING YORK (Pa.)
This will also be the season opener for the Spartans, who finished 11-6 last year, and 3-3 in the Capital Athletic Conference.

Senior Zach Hanson led all returning players last year with a 6-5 record, followed closely by Sophomore Devin Lehigh, who finished 5-2 in his freshman campaign.
