GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Hood College men's swim team was defeated in their season opener at Arcadia 170-91.

- Cameron Rogers broke two Arcadia pool records during the meet. First he broke the 1000 yard freestyle record of 10:18.42 with a new time of 10:00.81. Then he broke the 500 yard freestyle record of 5:02.13 with a time of 4:52.81.
- The Blazers' placed first in five races.
- BJ Daisey finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:02.79.
- Ernesto Evans won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.98.
- Chris Gardner won the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.97.
Notes
Hood is 0-1 on the season and 0-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Arcadia is 1-0 overall and in the MAC.
