GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Hood College women's swim team was defeated in their season opener at Arcadia 132-71.

• Hood won first place in five events.
• Brianna Hand-Solomon took first in the 100 freestyle with 57.18 and the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:09.12.
• Kate Sanborn won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:44.13.
• Sydney Langer snagged first in the 500 freestyle with 6:09.81.
• Anne Lessard won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:30.14.

Hood is 0-1 on the season and 0-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Arcadia is 1-0 overall and in the MAC.
