FREDERICK, Md. - After placing in seven events, the Hood College Women's Swim Team fell short to Arcadia University 171-61.
How it Happened
- Brianna Hand-Solomon and Kate Sanborn won events for Hood.
- Hand-Solomon placed first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.76.
- Sanborn claimed another first place finish for Hood College in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.75.
- Hand-Solomon snagged a pair of second place finishes in addition to her win. The junior was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.97 and the 200-yard backstroke at 2:26.13.
- In the 200-yard breaststroke, Sanborn was awarded second place coming in at 2:38.64.
- Afton Woodring came in third in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:14.33.
- Mandy Smith finished third in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:00.14.

- This was the first competition of the season for the Blazers.
