STEVENSON, Md. - The Hood College women's swim team was defeated by McDaniel 67-34 at the neutral site of Stevenson University.
How It Happened
- In the women's 50 yard freestyle, Brianna Hand-Solomon's time of 1:07.38 earned five points and a first place finish. She was second in the women's 50 yard backstroke with a time of 29.49 earning three points. Her third place finish of 2:21.45 earned a point in the women's 200 yard backstroke.
- Kate Sanborn finished second in the women's 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 33.83 that gave the Blazers three points. Her second place finish in the women's 100 yard individual medley earned three points after a time of 1:10.85.
- Miranda Smith earned a first place finish in the women's 50 yard freestyle claiming five points for Hood. She earned an additonal point after her time of 2:37.12 was enough for a third place finish in the women's 200 yard individual medley.
- A second place finish by Afton Woodring in the women's 50 yard freestyle earned three points after her time of 33.44. Woodring claimed another point with a third place finish in the women's 50 yard butterfly with a time if 38.50.
