Benton Wins Twice Against Stevenson

FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's tennis team nearly picked up its first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth win of the year, but Stevenson escaped with a 5-4 win. 

How it Happened

  • Joe Benton was the only Blazer to win twice. He teamed with Alex Beaumont for an 8-6 victory at third doubles. At third singles, Benton was a 6-1, 6-3 winner. 
  • Tanner Ruths made short work of his opposition at sixth singles, winning 6-1, 6-1. 
  • Jorden Hahn needed three sets at fourth singles, but captured a win against Mike Richmond 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. 
  • Michael Brady won the first set at second singles, but eventually fell to Womden Ly 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.
