GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Hood College men's swim team fell in its first meet of the year to Middle Atlantic Conference foe Arcadia 203-51.

How it Happened

• Max Riedel and Gaby Hernandez-Paese each had multiple second-place finishes.
• Riedel was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:38.62 and the 500 free in 5:16.22.
• Hernandez-Paese took second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.17 and the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.11. He picked up third place in the 200 individual medley with his time of 2:13.43.
• Both swimmers were part of the second place 200 free relay along with John Foley and Matthew Ball. The quartet swam a 1:38.87.
• Foley added a second place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.73. Riedel picked up a third-place finish in that event in 1:02.84. Foley was later third in the 100 butterfly in a time of 58.59.
• Brooks Anderson was third in the 50 free in 24.41.
