WINCHESTER, Va. - The Hood College women's tennis team fell 7-2 in its first match of the spring to Shenandoah in a match played on the indoor courts at Winchester Country Club. 

Doubles

• The Blazers' duo of Katie Cautero and Abbey Bloom picked up an 8-1 win over Caitlin Bennett and Emma Crue at third doubles. 
• At second doubles, Paige Langmead and Jennifer Slick pushed the Hornets' Jada Lewis and Madison Rogers to the limit before falling 9-7.

Singles

• Bloom defeated Bennett at sixth singles in an 8-3 pro-set for Hood's other point. 
• Skylar Wright pushed Lily Kimble to three sets at second singles before Kimble notched a 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 win. 

Notes

• Hood fell to 2-2 on the year.
• Shenandoah is 3-0.
