Men's tennis falls to Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hood College's Clifford Hedin picked up his first career win in the final match of the fall, but Catholic University picked up an 8-1 win over the Blazers. 

Singles

  • At number two singles, Hedin won in three sets against Matt Rudolf 2-6, 6-4, 10-7.
  • Ben DeLeo fell to  Juan Gomez, 6-0,6-0 at first singles.
  • Jakob Stubits fell to Emmett Lee 6-3,6-4 at No. 3  singles.  
  • At No. 4 singles, Jeffery Fleming dropped to James Schmalz 6-1,6-2. 
  • Catholic's Lucas Boyle defeated Tobi Aroloye at fifth singles 8-0. 

Doubles  

  • DeLeo and Hedin dropped the No. 1 doubles match to Rudolf and Gomez 8-2.
  • At second doubles, Stubits and Fleming took on David Brennan and Boyle and fell to the pair 8-1.

The Hood College men's tennis team ends the fall 2021 season, and will be back in action in spring 2022.
