READING, Pa. – The Hood College women's swimming team earned their second victory ever against Middle Atlantic Conference foe Albright in program history in the 104-82 victory over the Lions.
First Place Finishes
- Andrea Kassa led the Blazers with one first-place finish and two second-place finishes against Albright. Kassa was first in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.77 and placed second in the 1000-yard free in 11:59.67 and in the 200-yard IM in 2:29.57.
- Ridley Little and Riley Cowperthwaite both earned a first-place finish while also grabbing a second-place finish. In the 200-yard free, Little swam a 2:10.92 to earn first and placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:42.08. Cowperthwaite was first in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.15 and second in the 50-yard free in 26.43.
- In the 100-yard backstroke, Olivia Menusan swam a 1:04.12 for a first-place finish. Menusan also placed third in the 200-yard IM in 2:29.97.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay squad of Josephine Sasse, Melissa Jacobs, Little and Winpigler earned first in 2:00.73.
Second Place Finishes
- Winpigler was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:20.85 for the Blazers.
- Molly Cronin, Ann Coleman, Cowperthwaite and Menusan earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley in 2:02.23.
Third Place Finishes
- Cronin was third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.22.
- In the 200-yard free, Hailey Sofranko swam a 2:40.10 to earn third for Hood.
- Jacobs swam a 6:06.68 in the 500-yard freestyle for a third-place finish.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Miranda Nunez, Jacobs, Sofranko, and Sasse
Notes
- This is the second time in program history that Hood defeated Albright, the last time being in 2016.

The Blazers move to 5-4 (4-4) on the season and will be back in the pool on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21 as they travel to King's College for the Diamond City Invitational.
