Box Score 1 WILKES BARRE, Pa. - On the first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Men's Tennis Championships, five Hood College men's tennis players competed in the opening round of play.
Singles
- Each of the Blazers fell on the first day.
- In the first round of first singles, Ben DeLeo drew Messiah's Jarod Snader. DeLeo fell to Snader 4-1 and 4-2.
- At number two singles, Clifford Hedin played two tough sets against third seeded Larry Johnson III from Stevenson. Johnson won in straight sets 4-1, 4-1.
- Jakob Stubits fell in the first round to Vince Griffin from York, 4-0, 4-0 in straight sets at number three singles.
- At number four singles, Jeffery Fleming opened the tournament with a match against the third seed from FDU-Florham Jakob Mostoller. Fleming fell to Mostoller 4-0, 4-0 in straight sets.
- Tobi Aroloye matched up against Misercordia's Noah Drayton at number five singles. Aroloye fell to Drayton 4-2, 4-0.
Doubles
- DeLeo and Hedin opened play at first doubles against Snader and Jonathan Baker of Messiah. The Falcons downed the Blazers 8-2.
- At second doubles, Stubits and Fleming took on Bryan Levi and Darren Lopez from Eastern and fell to the pair 8-1.
