ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College had an impressive day in the pool with swimmers coming in first in 11 out of 14 events. The Blazers would go on to beat the Flying Dutchmen 159-74 in a Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet.
Winners
- Hazen Stowell (West Jordan, Utah/Riverton) picked up individual wins for the Blazers in the 400-meter individual medley (5:06.26) and the 200-meter butterfly (2:22.21). He also placed second in the 200-meter backstroke (2:28.05).
- Ethan Hubble (Middletown, Md./Middletown) touched the wall first in the 200-meter freestyle (2:07.58) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:35.80).
- Ike Brittingham (Lewes, Del./Sussex Central) placed first in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:11.63) and the 200-meter breaststroke (2:45.44).
- Storm Fuller (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) won the 100-meter backstroke with a final time of 1:04.78. He also placed second in the 100-meter butterfly (1:06.64).
- Jalen Chance (New Castle, Del./William Penn) picked up an individual win for the 50-meter freestyle, finishing in 24.99. The sophomore placed second in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:50.93).
- Patrick Krol (Ellicott City, Md./Homeschooled) touched the wall first in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2.25.98. The senior finished second in the 100-meter backstroke (1:06.68).
- Russell Odor (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) added a first-place finish in the 100-meter butterfly, clocking in at 1:05.77. The senior came in second for the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 59.61.
- Hood had the top two relays in the 200 medley. Fuller, Chance, Brittingham and Hubble combined to place first in 1:55.67. Stowell, Ben Foster (Lexington, Md./Homeschooled), Odor and Krol followed them in 2:01.39.
Seconds
- Foster had second place finishes in the 200-meter butterfly (2:36.98) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:37.89).
- Hank Machen (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) finished second in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:20.70.
- Chris Krol (Ellicott City, Md./Homeschooled) placed second in the 100-meter breaststroke, clocking in with a time of 1:19.22.
- Ian Edler (Frederick, Md./Urbana) added a second-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.26.
Notes
- The Blazers finish the regular season 6-4 and are 5-4 in the conference.
- The Flying Dutchmen drop to 2-6 on the season and 2-3 in the conference.
