FREDERICK, Md.- The Hood College esports team won the NECC Emergents Northeast Championship in Valornat and League of legends this spring.

Valorant
In the first round, Hood defeated Ithaca College 2-0.
Bryce Daw (Frederick, MD/Middletown) combined for 46 kills and 11 first-bloods.
Chris MoeZaw (San Jose, Calif./Frederick (Md.)) tallied 35 kills with two plants.
Caulten Cleveland (Bear, Del./First State Military Academy) finished the night with 32 kills and five plants. In the quarter-finals, the Blazers defeated Lebanon Valley College 2-0. MoeZaw led Hood with 49 kills and 10 fist bloods.
Owen Paolicelli (North East, Md./North East) combined for 38 kills.
Haiden Naill (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) had eight plants across both games. Hood was victorious over Messiah College winning 3-1 to claim the NECC Emergents Northeast title. In the four games, Daw combined for 86 kills and 15 first-bloods. Paolicelli tallied 76 kills. MoeZaw ended the night with 63 kills.

League Of Legends
In the first round of the NECC Emergents playoffs, Hood defeated Trent University 2-0 to move on to the quarter-finals. In the second round, Hood was victorious 2-1 against Robert Morris University. In the finals, Hood won in five games for a 3-2 victory against Arcadia University to win the NECC Emergents Northeast championship. No team stats were recorded for these games.
