FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's swim team cruised against out-of-conference foe Gallaudet University in the first home meet of the season with a final score of 139-27.
Top Finishes
Andrea Kassa (Monongahela, Pa./Ringgold) led the Blazers in the 1000 yard freestyle and the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 11:56.75 and 1:09.27.
Addy Benton (Frederick, Md./Urbana) placed first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:23.05 while also placing in first in the 100 yard backstroke with recording a time of 1:10.46.
Emma Bowers (New Market, Md./Linganore High School) finished in first place in the 50 yard freestyle after swimming a 30.03.
Ray Zoretich (Frederick, Md./Urbana High School) placed second in both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle recording times 30.15 and 1:09.43.
Hannah-Grace Enriquez (Frederick,Md./Frederick High School) placed first in the 100 yard freestyle and second in the 100 yard IM with times of 1:05.87 and 1:15.34 respectively.
Josephine Sasse (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) placed first in the 100 yard IM and the 100 yard breaststroke collecting times of 1:14.45 and 1:20.45 respectively.
Emma Prince (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Male) found herself in third place in the 100 yard freestyle after swimming a time of 1:11.05.
Taegan Murphy recorded a time of 1:16.83 as she placed second in the 100 yard backstroke and she also place third in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:17.23.
Jordan Taylor (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) place second in both the 200 yard and 500 yard freestyles recording times of 2:30.86 and 6:48.50 respectively.
Sidney Brinkman (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) placed first in the 500 yard freestyle after earning a time of 6:11.40.
Lastly, in the 200 yard freestyle Hood had two teams place first and second. The first team to finish for Hood consisted of Benton, Bowers, Brinkman and Kassa and finished with a time of 1:53.60. The runner up team consisted of Zoretich, Prince, Taylor and Murphy and swam a final time of 2:05.40.

Hood advances to 2-5 (1-3) on the season.
