Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood men's tennis team pushed Penn State Berks in several matches, but fell 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Doubles
Both the doubles teams of
Tyler James (Frederick, Md./Middletown) and
Isaac Hatch (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick) at the No. 1 position and
Brady Vlha (New Market, Md./Linganore) and
Dhane McCloud (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) at the No. 2 spot lost by a score line of 8-4.
Singles
First singles player James had the closest match of the day, winning his first set but then dropping the third set tiebreaker, 2-6, 6-2, 10-3.
At the No. 3 position,
Brady Vlha (New Market, Md./Linganore) challenged his opponent in the first set but ultimately fell 6-4, 6-2.
The Blazers did not win more than a game in a set in the other three singles matches.
Match Notes
Hood only had five players, so forfeited at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
