FREDERICK, Md. - Men's Tennis took on Commonwealth foe Messiah on a sunny day but the solid foe outlasted Hood 9-0.
Doubles
Duos of Tyler James (Frederick, Md./Middletown) with Isaac Hatch (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick) and Brady Vlha (New Market, Md./Linganore) with Dhane McCloud (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) battled but fell to Messiah's doubles with scores of 8-4 and 8-3.
Singles
James in singles No.1 dropped the first set 6-2 but was on the doorstep in set two even though that set was dropped 6-4. In singles No. 4, McCloud took Messiah's Martin to three sets and a high scoring tie breaker to fall just short 11-9 in set three. Hatch and Adams fell 6-0 and 6-0 in their matches.

The Blazers were shorthanded with just four players, leading to defaults at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
