ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Hood College men's swimming team came up just short against Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Lebanon Valley College in a 96-82 loss.
Top Finishes
The 200-meter medley relay team of
Hank Machen (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick),
Jacob Gardner (),
Jalen Chance (New Castle, Del./William Penn), and
Storm Fuller (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) finished in first place with a time of 2:02.55.
Ethan Hubble (Middletown, Md./Middletown) and Machen finished in first and second in the 200-meter freestyle race, with Hubble taking gold with a 2:10.58, and Machen taking silver with a 2:19.27.
Chance also grabbed gold in the 50-meter freestyle with his 25.84 final time.
Machen beat out two LVC opponents to win the 100-meter butterfly in 1:08.99.
Gardner finished above his three Flying Dutchmen opposition to bring home gold in the 100-meter breaststroke with a 1:17.01.
Fuller also won the 100-meter freestyle race, touching the wall in 57.59, the only swimmer to finish below one minute.
Hubble finished the 400-meter freestyle race in 4:42.15, enough for first place, while
James Martinez (New Market, Md./Linganore) placed third in the event with his 4:59.07 final time.
