FREDERICK, Md. - The men's swimming team dove into competition as they hosted Messiah University, Widener University, and Kings College in a busy quad meet at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center. The team was swept in the team competitions.

Jake Hauff sprinted to a second-place finish in the 50 Free, clocking 23.19 in a tightly contested race.
Jacob Gardner (Kent Island, Md./Queen Anne's) impressed in the 100 Breaststroke, placing third overall with a time of 1:07.79, showing promise as a rising contributor.
Ben Foster (Lexington, Md./Homeschooled) led Hood's distance effort in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, finishing fifth with a time of 12:07.90.
James Martinez-Solis delivered a strong swim in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing seventh with a time of 2:01.65, and followed up with a 1:10.26 in the 100 Breaststroke.
Andrew Pyfrin (Hamilton, Nj./Atlantic County Institute) competed in both the 100 Backstroke and 100 Freestyle, hitting personal bests in his collegiate debut.
