WESTMINSTER, Md. - The women's swim team hit the pool for Saturday's tri-meet against St. Mary's College of Maryland and McDaniel College with individual performances but fell in both competitions.
Top Times
Sophia Routzahn (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) led the way for Hood, capturing first place in the Women's 50 Free (25.77) and adding a strong second-place finish in the 100 Butterfly (1:01.59). She also anchored the Blazers' medley relay team.
Sidney Brinkman (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and
Taegan Murphy (Walnutport, Pa./21st Century Cyber Charter) contributed key points in relay and individual events, including Brinkman's Top 5 finish in the 50 free and Murphy's solid swim in the 100 backstroke (1:12.35).
Hood's A-relay team (Brinkman, Roessler, Taylor, Prince) fought hard in the 400-yard freestyle relay, closing the meet with a time of 4:47.76.
Lindsay DeLauder (Frederick, Md./Frederick) delivered a solid swim in the 200 Free (2:16.32) and helped power the women's relay team.
