SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Hood College men's track and field team took part in the Susquehanna Tune-Up hosted by Susquehanna University, headlined by a 4x400 meter relay victory.
Top Finishes
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Owen Ellington (Laurel, Md./Gonzaga College),
Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana),
Alex Seskar (Great Mills, Md./Great Mills), and
Juan Barberena (Urbana, Md./Urbana High School) took home gold with a combined time of 3:36.71, nearly nine seconds faster than second place.
Jamel Mins (Columbia, Md./Atholton) finished ninth in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish in 23.67 seconds, while Barberena finished right behind him in tenth with a 23.7 time.
Sappe also placed well in the 800-meter run, with his 2:00.10 time enough for fifth place.
Carter Naiman tied for sixth in the pole vault event, with his highest clear being 3.85 meters.
