Noy and Zechman shine at Virginia Beach Spring Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The women's track and field team competed at the Virginia Beach Spring Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday. Noy and Zechman earned wins in their respective events.
 
Top Finishes

Tay Zechman (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) won the Women's Hammer Throw with a toss of 43.16m. She also took third place in the Women's Javelin Throw with an attempt at 34.84m. Zechman's attempt in the Women's Javelin Throw breaks the record, which she previously held, for farthest throw in program history.

Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) won the Women's 1500m race with an impressive time of 5:06.79. In a competitive field, she finished five seconds before the next closest runner.

Emily Perry () took 4th place in the Women's Shot Put with her highest attempt at 10.56.

Megan Pezenosky (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) placed ran the Women's 400m to claim 5th place.
