WINCHESTER, Va. – The women's cross country team opens up the fall season with a fourth place finish at the Shenandoah Invitational 5K.
Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) finishes in the Top 10 as the Blazers improve by six spots from the last time they ran at the event.
Top Finishers
Noy led the pack with a time of 18:51 for a 10
th place finish on the day. Noy takes over a minute on her previous college best of 19:59 at the Baltimore Metro Meet last August.
Maya Carey (Clarksburg, MD/Clarksburg) in her first run for the Blue & Grey lands in the Top 25 with a time of 19:24 in 24
th.
Amber Marshall (Berlin, MD/Stephen Decatur) rounds out the Blazers with a time of 20:51 in her first collegiate run in 50
th place.
On the Leaderboards
Navy takes the team cup with a score of 23 with five finishers in the Top 10.
Jane Phillips representing Navy finishes with a time of 18:06 to stand at the top of the podium.
The Blazers finish with a 157 good enough for the fourth place finish out of 18 teams.
