SILVER SPRING, Md. - Six members of the Hood College Equestrian Team competed in the Zone 4 Region 1 Regional Competition, hosted by the University of Maryland at Meadowbrook Stables.
At the Show
Sophomore
Sarah Wauls (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) put in a solid ride on UMD's Pudge placing fourth in Limit Fences.
Senior Brooke had a lovely ride on UMD's Q in a highly competitive Limit Flat class and ended her season just out of the ribbons.
Junior Delmy Velziroglu and Sophomores
Reagan Ochoa (Rohrersville, Md./Barbara Ingram School for the Arts) and
Angelina Sotela (Frederick, Md./Frederick) all put in competitive rides in the large Novice Flat on UMD's Owen, Doodlebug and Sterling respectively. Sotela was invited for the Final Heat callback on UMD's Stitch and placed 5
th overall.
Sophomore
Emilia Alcala-Torrez (Washington, D.C./Jackson-Reed) ended the day as Reserve Champion of Introductory on UMD's Outlaw and as a Zone Qualifier.
