Hood College

Tim Gutzeit joins the staff in the fall of 2025, where he will work with sprints, jumps, and hurdles for both Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams. He will also assist with the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams.  

Born and raised in Oldenburg, Germany, Tim Gutzeit moved to the United States after his high school graduation. He attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he competed as a student-athlete for four years. Gutzeit earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both with honors. 

Tim Gutzeit looks to bring to Hood College, his experience and passion for track and field to the next generation of athletes.

• 6× Qualified for German National Championships 

• 7th Place – 200m U18 at German Nationals (2019) 

• 4x Northern German and 11x State Champion – 100m, 200m, and 4x100m
