Before Hood 
  • At Saint James, McElroy was a member of the Golf Team under coach Bill Hoffman, Basketball Team under Coach Durilla, and  Lacrosse Team under coach John Tucker
  • Played for Team Maryland LC under coach Gavin Donahue
  • McElroy earned All-Conference Honors junior and senior seasons, and also was First-Team All-County all four years at Saint James 
  • Lacrosse team at Saint James won back to back Conference Championships during 2024 and 2025 seasons
