Bridget Thomas joins the Hood College coaching staff in the fall of 2025 as the Graduate Assistant for men’s and women’s swim teams.
A native of North Plainfield, New Jersey, Thomas attended Metuchen High School before continuing her swimming career at Towson University, where she specialized in distance freestyle events. She served as a team captain during her junior and senior years and was a member of the SAAC Executive Board.
At the conclusion of her career, she received the CAA Leadership and Sport Excellence Award for Women’s Swimming & Diving, along with the Excellence Earned Award, Senior High Point Award, and Total Tiger Award. She graduated from Towson’s Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
Thomas has extensive coaching experience working with swimmers of all ages and skill levels. She has taught lessons and coached at the Plainfield Country Club and Westfield Area YMCA in New Jersey.
While at Towson, she spent four years with Loyola Blakefield Aquatics as a swim school manager, lesson instructor, and team coach. She also coached the Stoneleigh Sharks summer league team. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nutrition, with a focus on dietetics, at Hood College.
