Hayley Taylor joins the Hood College coaching staff in the fall of 2025 as its Assistant Coach for the men’s and women’s swimming programs.
Hayley grew up in Frederick, Maryland so she is very familiar with the Hood program and the regional swimming scene. Frederick is also the home of her USA club team, Monocacy Aquatic Club and her summer league program, Hood Hammerheads, a team she has been a part of the coaching staff for 8 years.
Hayley had a very successful collegiate swimming career at Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, achieving an NCAA B cut, participating in new school records, and even part of a gold medal winning 800 free relay which broke an Atlantic 10 conference record.
Before college, Hayley represented an elite level of Maryland swimmers taking first place, her junior year of high school, in the 100-yard backstroke, a meet that was completed just weeks before the pandemic halted all competition in the state.
Hayley has a bachelor's degree in health administration from Duquesne University and plans to pursue a master's degree in business administration in the fall of 2026.
