Kristina Stathas

Stathas joins the women's ice hockey program as the second graduate assistant coach in program history after playing college hockey at Concordia University (USports) and prior to that, playing at Dawson College Blues (RSEQ) and Kent School (Prep School, Connecticut).

The Laval, Quebec native has several years of coaching experience in girls’ hockey across multiple age groups in that area and helped coach teams to league, regional, and provincial championships. She is the founder and women’s program director of Team Greece Heritage Hockey, leading the growth of the women’s program and helping create international opportunities for athletes of Greek heritage.

She is passionate about player development, leadership, team culture, and mentoring student-athletes as the program is in the next stage of its growth with the first recruits now becoming upperclassman. Stathas received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Concordia University in 2026 and is excited to begin her coaching career at Hood College while continuing graduate studies pursuing a career in counseling psychology and supporting student-athlete well-being.
