Hood College

Hazen Stowell of the men's swim team and Andrea Kassa of  women's swimming are the Hood College Athletes of the Week after their performances against Lebanon Valley on Jan. 15. 

Stowell earned three first-place finishes to lead the Blazers to a 194-64 victory over Lebanon Valley. Stowell led the Blazers with three first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.79, the 200-yard back in 2:09.47 and in the 200-yard IM in 2:09.80.  

Kassa placed first in three events to lead the Blazers to a 129-103 victory over the Dutchmen. Kassa led Hood with three first-place finishes in all three events she swam in. Kassa swam a 12:00.52 in the 1000-yard freestyle, then swam a 2:30.04 in the 200-yard butterfly. Lastly, in the 500-yard freestyle, Kassa swam a 5:39.35 for the Blazers.
