Hood College

Clay Smith of men’s soccer and Elena Ziniaich of women’s volleyball have been named Hood College’s Athletes of the Week for September 17, 2018.

Smith recorded a hat trick and finished the match with seven points to win 5-0 over Juniata. His effort tied for the third most in a single match by a Blazer.  

Zinaich tied an 18-year old school record with 28 kills as the Hood College volleyball team outlasted New Jersey City University 3-2. She had nearly half of the Blazers' 60 kills against the Gothic Knights and hit .619 for the match. Her 28 kills matched Kelly Ashley's school record from the 2000 season.
